Who We Are:
Amanah Children's Foundation is a registered, community-focused Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Wakiso District. We are driven by a deep commitment to uplift abandoned, orphaned, and highly disadvantaged children. We focus on holistic development, addressing both the immediate physical needs and the long-term emotional, mental, and educational growth of each child.

Where We Work:
We operate directly from Wakiso District, serving both the local township and surrounding peri-urban communities across the Central Region of Uganda. Our center serves as a beacon of stability for children who have faced extreme poverty, abuse, or the loss of their parents.

Our Staff:
Our team consists of dedicated social workers, educators, house parents, healthcare professionals, and volunteers. They work around the clock to provide a loving family environment. Each staff member is deeply committed to safeguarding children's rights and nurturing their personal growth.

Our Programs

Residential Care & Orphanage Home
we provide a safe, nurturing home for children who cannot live with their biological families. Our residential setup fosters a loving, family-style environment where children receive proper nutrition, clothing, medical care, and continuous emotional support.

Education & Vocational Training
we believe education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. We sponsor children through primary, secondary, and vocational levels. We also run on-site early childhood learning for our younger residents to prepare them for formal schooling.

Child Welfare & Protection
We actively advocate for children's rights, providing counseling, legal support (where necessary), and safe rehabilitation for traumatized, abused, or neglected children to help them heal and reintegrate into society.

Community Development & Outreach
We do not just stop at our center's doors. Through community workshops, livelihood programs, and family support initiatives, we empower single mothers and struggling families in the Wakiso area to become economically self-reliant.
