Our Story Founded in 2021 in response to COVID19 as welfare program, Amanah Children’s Foundation was born from a deep desire to support orphans, vulnerable children, and disadvantaged families in the Wakiso District. Operating in the Central Region, we recognized the urgent need for a holistic approach to child care—one that not only provides food and shelter but also champion’s education and long-term community resilience. Today, our team of dedicated caregivers, educators, and social workers work tirelessly to ensure that no child in our community is left behind.
Our Programs
Child Welfare & Protection: We provide continuous support for orphans and at-risk children by supplying nutritious meals, clothing, healthcare, and psychosocial support to ensure their overall well-being.
Education & Sponsorship: We believe that education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. We partner with local schools and offer sponsorship programs to cover school fees, uniforms, and scholastic materials for underprivileged children.
Residential Care & Homes: For children who have been abandoned or lack family care, we provide a safe, secure, and family-like home environment. Our dedicated caregivers offer the unconditional love and guidance needed for every child to heal and grow.
Community Development: We go beyond the home by running community outreach initiatives that empower families, support widows, and help local guardians acquire the vocational and financial skills needed to become self-reliant.
